In the meantime, base cladding has risen another 2 levels on the South facade. Also, mechanical cladding is almost 80% complete on the SE facade. I haven't any views of the NW, so I can't say how it's doing.

Why not? WTC 1 is well below the 2000' height limit imposed by the FAA and there is no local laws that mandate that nothing can be taller, unlike Washington DC where nothing can be higher than the Washington Monument. If a developer wants to spend the money he can certainly build a tower building.

Great photos. Most of the Earthcam cams also seems to be fixed.

Here's some more great images from Jason Pierce Photography.

Of course it CAN, but you expect that happening?

Sorry, back on topic. Does anyone know when the safety nets will be coming off?
Weren't you the 1 that said you wanted to shit in the most expensive toilet in the world, a few weeks back, in the 1WTC top floor? ,, then said you love your shits and talk a lot of shit.. Well if this is you,, you sure didn't lie. Also looks like you guys are in for some shitty weather this weekend, we're (midwest) expecting 6-8inches of snow between tue-wed, and with the way you guys have been getting hit, I'd imagine you'll probably be subject twice that with the ocean effect,,, if weather holds true West to East. So that will slow progress down to possibly a halt, or the weather system may miss you, who the hell knows 4 sure. They can always work inside on it.

Floor to ceiling window heights and modern LED office lighting. Compared to the lights in older buildings, these are twice as bright for a fraction of the cost.

Has to be a Nuclear generator somewhere in that building. Have you seen the building lit up during Hurricane Sandy?

Something was brought by truck late last night, and the cranes were being used.

Stunning photo by Vivienne Gucwa on Flickr. A bit old, though.
