Hopefully not there's no excuse for that, it's supposed to be done by the first week of April the latest and if that doesn't happen then what a joke.

The plan is to get mast erected by end of March and curtain wall by end of May.

Do you love it more than you wife/girfriend? Would you leave her to live there? Would you be unable to go on living if it were destroyed?

I believe the entire building won't open until early next year.

You must be one of those hipster Greenwich village boys cause if you lived any where else out side Manhattan their wouldn't be so much love ,or you don't live in New York at all ,as for me i love it here and i hate it here equally.

Its amazing how much extra height the building will look to have after the cladding is complete.

Does the planned May completion of the cladding include the gap on the east face? It seems like that has been there forever. Also, the May completion date surely cannot include where the west-face external elevator currently is.

You mean the east side elevator and no it doesn't that will be the last part to finish from the base to the parapet.

That May completion date, is for the glass cladding to reach the roof-top.

^ Nice Pics! I'm dreaming that 2 WTC and 3 WTC are in those pics. How beautiful would that be.

Those pictures two posts above by OnePointWest show how nice the view from the Staten Island ferris wheel are going to be. Might be the best view of the city when it's built.

Woops, got east and west mixed up. By "east side gap", I meant the gap on the west side that goes partway up the building. Anyway, thank you Rockmont & StrongIsland.

I heard that you used to be able to see the old towers easily on a fairly clear day from Northern State Parkway in the Huntington area, and from the Robert Moses Bridge/FI Lighthouse. I am dying to know if you can see the new WTC from those spots right now, and if so some pictures showing it. Or at the very least some diagram showing how big it will appear from 40 miles away.

What this "sculpture" on the first pic of One Point West? Is that a memorial or something?
