lol you are giving CTBUH way too much importance. If you think any of those multi-billion dollar companies/organization even knows about an organization that has no official or legislative power, you are not being realistic.

No one has answered me do you guys think the WTC will be easily seen on a decent day from 40 miles out on the Robert Moses Bridge or the FI Lighthouse?

How many people here do you honestly think would know the answer to that question?

A while ago someone posted pictures of the entire NYC skyline clearly visible at about 40 miles, from some beach in Connecticut.

That's a tough question to answer. I haven't been to either the Robert Moses Bridge or fire island since the building has been in construction but it's possible on a clear day I think. You would have look very carefully and hard I think though

See, I heard with the old WTC you could easily see it on a decent day, but didn't have to be perfect conditions and no binoculars needed.

Yes. Yes it will. I looked at the website for the lighting contractor and they have things like the Luxor Hotel beam under their belt:

page

This will be the first ever focused LED rotating beacon in the world according to the company website. The same company is working on the mast lighting using remotely controlled 11 color units for the top of the mast while only using white lights for the beacon itself.

Just a small correction, but Ballentyne-Strong is the lighting manufacturer of the beacon and the other lights for the mast. The EC on the job is 5-star Electric.

Great photos. Is it just the lighting, or is One Liberty Plaza having some sort of glass replacement?

Im guessing floor plans are posted here somewhere but the thread is just too long...

is it correct that this tower will have only one really big staircase? I thought there was a minimum rule of two?
