The base is a perfect example of what happens when the police department and security experts design a building instead of architects! It was like a bunker (which it essentially is) instead of the base of one of the most prestigious business addresses in the world. What a shame!

I Like this picture, Looks actually like the rendering just missing 2wtc, The wtc Transportation hub, and 3wtc

On the first picture what is that thing they are constructing in front of that small brown building beside 4wtc. Is that 5wtc or just a parking garage.

The base reminds me of Mekka ... Or a temple, old temple of Jeruzalem. It is indeed very pretty

What exactly is being built in front of 1WTC and beside Greenwich street? I know some model pictures show a park, and I've heard of plans for a performance arts building. Right now they are working on below grade stuff such as the subways and utility stations correct?

Eleven years later. I kind of like The New WTC better than the old one more modern.

Snow isn't bad down there at all, what have they got like a foot or so in the past month? Up here in the White mountains we've averaged 5-8ft per month (depending on the area). Most of what falls in NYC melts within a day or so anyway... we'll probably have our snow until May at this rate.

.......but nonetheless a great shot of the skyline. Even though there's a noticeable gap, 1WTC actually looks great all by itself.

In renderings that perspective (3 sides visible) is shown a lot but that's the first (and hopefully last) actual photo I've seen from that angle.

That's why many call this the Fear Tower. It's a name that will stick.

Wow this pic really puts things in perspective of how massive this thing is: Look at the guy in the orange poncho towards the bottom right, he's tiny.
