We just had some crappy stadium vendor win the bidding war. I know when I visit a stadium I don't think high class food and a low key environment. The first thing that comes to my mind is insanity.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be more classier then "McDonald's style food" look at the renders that doesn't look like its going to be McDonald style to me. It's no windows but its definitely going to be something you can sit down and order.

-The winning design for One World Observatory, submitted by Legends, will take visitors on a dynamic journey that tells the story of New York City and One World Trade Center as guests ascend to the top of the iconic skyscraper to enter the observation deck.

One World Observatory will provide visitors with spectacular views of New York City and the surrounding region from 1,250 feet high in the air. The venue is projected to draw an estimated 3.8 million annual visitors to the top of what is the tallest building in New York and soon will be the tallest structure in the Western Hemisphere.
What a freak show it will be up there. What's the need of so many screens in front of the windows?

Please be respectful to others, I'm not trying to create an argument but if you don't have anything nice to say then please keep it to yourself, I found your post quite disrespectful. I presume you're an adult and if that is the case then I'm so much more younger than you it's incredible. Treat others in a manner consistent with the severity of your own transgressions, and please don't reply back to me repeating yourself again.

I think that ice from the spire would most likely drop down directly onto the roof, because ice is too heavy to be blown away far enough by the wind. However, the winds are pretty strong up there, so maybe you're right and it could be a problem.

Another cool pic from http://www.northjersey.com/columnist...ound_Zero.html

Can't believe a simple "How about no" derailed everything....

(Initially, essential to mention, I'm sorry if it's repeated or you've watched it)
Hey skyscrapercitizens(esp NYC lovers)!
If you want to do yourselves a favour PLEASE watch this (a couple years old) video in HD. I was always thinking of posting it here regardless of your interests maybe, (I'm sorry if it's so), but failed to remember.
It's really aerial and really heavenly to even think WTC towers, one57, 432 PA, The Nordstrom, HY skscrapers, etc and etc are yet to be seen. Get the true feel of what it is like from air!!!
Watch and enjoy yourselves.

Wait.. WHAT! Sears Tower is still staller? The antenna heaight wont be counted? Wow.. That is a disappointment. Lol

Mercenary please stop making false accusations base on your opinions ,their still has not been an official ruling by CTBUH on 1wtc mast, and since the covering of 1 wtc beacon and 1wtc mast being part of 1 wtc design, and don't forget Port Authority money 1 wtc mast most likely will count, making it the second tallest free standing structure in the western hemisphere, and since 1 wtc and the CN Tower are only 23 feet apart from each other its easy to make that mistake.

Dude, it's the internet. The fact that you're taking this seriously is hilarious. Can the butthurt and get over it.

When will there be an official ruling on whether the mast is a spire or an antenna?

I'm not going to hope for anything special. The original WTC also had a concessions area that had all sorts of "sit down" food that you had to go order yourself.

I know that but I'm sure it will be something along the lines of a real restaurant, like I said of course it's no windows but I'm hopeful it will be something
nice to just sit and eat a good meal. I guess we'll see when it opens or when more details surface...

Ugh! If there is a real restaurant, it would be a travesty not have any windows to enjoy the sites while enjoying your meal.
