I'd be glad if you could say those cities are Tokyo, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai or other top cities of the world.
Even here in Hong Kong i don't see any.
NY really sucks in case of sanitation.
Manhattan is pretty fair, i think, but in Brooklyn, Bronx, i think it's incredibly terrible.
If you are interested I could cite you some sites.

I live in NY so I see it first hand. I'm in the Bronx 4 times a week on average. Yes, of course there is litter as in any big city. To say that Shanghai has no street litter seems a little bit absurd. I was just pointing out in the photo there was no street litter being shown. That was all. I am not here to compare cities and their garbage problems.

Well even so it would be a sick thing of they did do that. I for one did NOT feel they should be rebuilt, why? So we can pretend nothing ever happened? Never mind if they also built a memorial as well but the truth is seeing the towers go up again would serve nothing but a reminder of everything that day, knowing they aren't the originals and knowing that the people you loved worked in those exact or look alikes and died. It wouldn't be a good idea. Long live the twin towers in memory but I think the new complex is amazing and will really change the skyline once towers 2 and 3 join in!

I was sad many years ago when I found out that they aren't rebuilding the twin towers but what made me feel better is that, at least they're building tall and powerful skyscrapers at the site. It's better than leaving it blank
Well no offense but that's completely different. The Eiffel Tower has much less people in it and is a lot smaller then the twins were. They would probably rebuild it.

My point is that, you should never take away an iconic design. The twin towers were totally iconic, recognized by many all over the world

When something like 9/11 happens yes you should. We have the memorial plaza that has the fountain footprints of the tower forever engraved, and the museum to remember the history if the site before during and after 9/11.

They still have a few more sections to install. And how exactly will the crane reach a greater height, for installing the higher pieces?

neither crane is set up with a climbing cage.

i think the drawings people have made are not to scale. The cranes are set up in their final positions to erect the spire as is.

I don't know if you where around in the 1980's but compare to the 80's you can eat of the floor! New York sanitation has come a long way since then.

I disagree. We may never agree about the design but what matters is that, New York City is getting new supertall skyscrapers at that site. The scar of New York is almost vanishing

God bless New York City and God bless America

My spire is based on diagrams and the crane is modeled with the product guide. The doghouse looks right and with all that said, I still can't get the tip of the boom above the beacon section. Perhapse you would know, is the upper crane standing on custom tower sections? They just look odd. I saw the diagram on wired New York by IrishInNYC and it had a completely different make and model crane on a giant looking external climber, but the doghouse structure fits the m760d tower sections perfectly. For all I know I could have made a stupid mistake and there is plenty of room.
