I still think that The communication ring would admit far to much radiation for it to be safe.

Like I said in the original post, it was my understanding... at least, the last I remember was when the Port Authority made a huge announcement a year or so ago that they had ended their contract with the company that was planning to place radio transmitters on the roof, and all renderings after this time showed the roof without the radio transmitters. BUT, I also stopped following the progress as closely around this time. Are you guys saying that the Port Authority and this other company reversed their decision, and that now there WILL be radio transmitters on the roof?

Cable net tensioning at south entrance is almost complete! Dichroic glass slots are being installed on blast wall.

Cable net wall contract was originally awarded to American Architectural, but due to bankruptcy Tishman awarded Permasteelisa the job.

St is at 1610 feet, 491 meters for u non-americans... right now I believe their awfully close,,(if you count the rocket ship as a spire).. ST is taller than the roof but not the body of the rocket on the roof, actually I'm pretty damn sure I remember when that Prime minisister from Ireland? visited the tour guide, said he told them, they were (on the doghouse, or stairway, next to the damn thing.. and told him he was over 1600ft... So If there's a real hardcore fan out there, this should be answered within 24hours.
