Hi guys. I just wanna ask you something regarding some of the buildings in this diagram. I know is a little out of place my Q. but the thing is next year I´m planning to move to NYC and I was checking some of the buildings for residential destination.
My first of several options is New York by Gehry building, which is one of the top high-rise buildings in NYC as I see in the image above (and i´ve heard is also the highest residential building in America). BTW, it looks tiny compared to the magnificent WTC.
However I see that there is a new building under construction, the one on Park Avenue. Do you know if it´s gonna be for residential use as well?

Sorry for the off topic comment and congratulations, the WTC is nothing but the most beautiful and breathtaking building in the USA.

It's also visible from the Kingda Ka in Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey. 45 miles away.

I really thank you for your help. I´ll be checking for 432. I´m an international student who´s planning to live for 3 years in NYC. (2014-2017). Not buying an apartment, just renting. I can afford no more than 3.5k monthly but I just need an alcove/studio or 1bd/1bth apartment, no more than that so, hope to find a right place for me.

Close to WTC, there´re some options, but what I´ve read about finantial district area is that during daytime is crowded and full of life, but at night it turns desertical and a little dangerous (I don´t know if it´s really true).

Thanks for the advice, i´ll look for the threads of the other buildings

Anyone else hate it when people call it the Freedom Tower? It's so cheesy it makes me cringe everytime I hear it. Also, most people seem to not even acknowledge 4 WTC, they seem to only recognize the new WTC by calling "it" the Freedom tower.... Guess they'll all change once towers 2-3 are built?

Yeah I know what you mean. Today here on the news there was a part about searching for remaining body parts in the junk ftom 9/11, and they were talking about the ''Freedom Tower'' and I was like, It's just 1wtc for like 4 years.

Thanks for those great photos. The base cladding looks great and they're closing in on getting the main cladding all the way to the top. I must admit that the top section of the "pointy thing" does have an attractive architectural appearance (unlike the rest of it ). In any case this is one beautiful building!
Oh, and by the way, I agree with those of you who also cringe when they hear this referred to as "The Freedom Tower". That also strikes me as being as corny as the phrase "freedom fries" instead of "french fries" when certain people were mad at France. But I digress, the closeup photos at the top of the 1WTC really show how much progress has been made and how much closer this is to completion.
