People seem to forget that the glass panels aren't extended yet. It will look better than the original glass.

Lets not even forget when it's illuminated at night....

This Sunday, I went through the Holland Tunnel, and it was HUGE (closest I have ever been to it). The pictures don't do it justice, to really know how large 1wtc is, you need to see it in person and up close.

Also 1 of the seedlings of the Anne frank tree will be placed at the memorial garden off the world trade centre.
The original tree died in 2010 and it was the tree that Anne Frank wrote about in her diary when she was hiding from the Nazis in the achterhuis.

....it could be that it's a a, I dunno, a memorial...

That foundation places that tree in different cities around the world (Birmingham, AL has one right outside of the Civil Rights Museum).

Yup, interior work is being done simultaneously with exterior work though it is many floors below exterior work. I dunno if there are any pics from the interior of 1WTC but there were pics of the interior of 4WTC showing the toilets

ok so the word is that the three sections preceding the beacon are still in fabrication.

It will likely be a bit longer before spire erection continues.

The cladding looks far better with closed fins than if they are opened at an angle.

Hope that isn't true, if so that's ridiculous. I was expecting to see this done by at least the end of May or so

I hope that at least they'll continue the cladding. If the building is fully clad the cranes on top of it will be far more bearable

I'm going the third week of July, and everything should have been just finished up by then. I'll probably book a hotel at lunch.

Oh, and I see no reason for the cladding to stop. There are only 2 or 3 more floors to go, so they should finish up very soon, at least by mid-May.
