I also remember being in a classroom and sitting at my desk and hearing over the intercom, "(name), Come to the office please your parent is picking you up" at least 50 times before the school just got let out early...

9/11 has everything to do with 1WTC. It's history and the entire meaning behind 1WTC as a memorial. With that said, 9/11 is irrelevant to this thread. But I personally see no problem with some people reminiscing.

Watching 1WTC rise has been one of the greatest privileged of my life. This will be a tower that will stand for centuries, and it really pushes Manhattan into the 21st century with its refreshing and modern prism design

If you read the facts sheet on the Observation Deck on wtcprogress.com it says that level 101 will feature gourmet dining options, casual and quick bites to eat, and a kitchen. If that's true then I'm completely content with the observation deck since you would actually be able to sit and have a real nice meal with a view again like windows kind of

I hope they pull the 1wtc zipper down any time soon... the gap in the cladding bothers me a bit.

A little off topic.
Are they deconstructing the St. Paul's Chapel to make a modern one Or destroying it to make way for a new skyscraper.

Neither. It a historical landmark. They are just doing some maintenance in that picture.

Pretty sure they're just doing renovations/repair work.

Great pictures, everyone.
