That photo you posted is with piece 12 up. They since added #13. 14 is not installed yet.

I'd say it's gray. The normal glass is purely reflective and is therefore blue because of the sky. The base glass has a gray tint and is therefore gray. Just my 2 cents

Does anyone know how long it took to erect the antenna on the North Tower, did it take as long as the spire is on 1WTC? Not complaining at all just curious...

Yes and no. It's 1,626 feet. So taller than Willis' roof, but not taller than it's antennas.

The base glass appears greyish/green because of the grey/steel panels directly behind it. The glass fins themselves are just plain clear glass fins, in my opinion.

Speaking of height between Willis and WTC here is a link below from a radio show from April 2013 with the director of CTBUH discussing WTC and other things.

VERY INTERESTING:

So what do you folks think what the final outcome will be when this puppy will be finally completed as far as official height?

About four months, they started in late 1978, and the mast was completed by April 1979. Compared to the current one, that mast was very simple and not nearly as complicated, since the building was completed, and television equipment had already been installed on the 109th/110th floors, and there was a much shorter mast already in use at the time.

The mast atop the North Tower under construction. The original antenna can be seen on the left.

For the love of.... 1,626 feet/495.6m!!

Some members over at SSP are stating it's higher, they're wrong. They only put up sections 12 and 13 today. That's all.

I've already said the glass was tint.... And to answer your question. No, I have never had a bottle of beer in my life and never will.

We still have to wait for those hideous temporary platform rings around the spire to be brought down. I think it will look much better and cleaner once those are gone.
