Sorry but One World Trade Center is 1,368 ft (417 m) tall. Not 1,776 ft (541.32 m).

The official architectural height will most probably be 541m because the mast will be counted as Spire

Interview with the executive director of CTBUH from April of this year says WTC will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere when it is completed.

I know some people take pictures then zoom in and the buildings appear way bigger than they would to the naked eye. I guess my question is, will I be able to see the WTC today with my naked eyes assuming clear conditions if I drove on the Robert Moses Bridge? And at night when it's completed, will the beacon be visible from the same distance?

P.S. before someone says "I don't know...try it and post a pic if you can", Robert Moses is still closed due to Sandy repairs
In Northern NJ, the Columbia Turnpike's farthest point is only 23-25 miles. However, you can see One WTC all the way down from Jackson, NJ (Six Flags Great Adventure) which is exactly 45 miles as the crow flies. When I saw it, it was so tiny, and hard to find on the horizon but 38 miles is a definite if you look in the right direction.

Oops, this is my fault. When I saw section 14 on a crane high qabove the roof of 1WTC I thought it would place it on piece 13, however, it only placed it on the temporary platform, so I was wrong

It was a spire. But since the latest redesign it's simply an antenna. It's a bit silly that the antenna of the former North Tower was not counted but this one does. That's not fair to other buildings.

Is the "spire" removable on the WTC? That is the KEY WORD. If it isn't it should be considered as structure and called as spire as per CTBUH definitions. Therefore i can counter that it would not be fair for WTC when Trump In'tl Hotel and Tower, Bank of America, NYTimes and many other buildings are counted.

Yes sorry, the Shanghai Tower is 1,826 ft (557 m) tall. In fact, there isn't a single megatall out there (except the Burj) which has a roof height > 600 m.

One WTC is by far the better looking building though.

Shanghai Tower is just atrocious.

The skyline cam is back up. The western side where the elevator was has been nearly filled in with glass. Looks like it could be finished by the end of the week.

The ones near the top? Yes, those are vents for the mechanical space.
