looks like these concept renders of shenzhen @[email protected] too bad the Penn building was cancelled it looks amazing right there where it was supposed to be. hudsen yards looks like it is too small in the render. i mean hudsen yard is a monster, havnt realized that until i saw the diagrams on SSP, but it is so big, i think it would dominate a lot more than it looks like in this render.

It's not an antenna. It's a spire. Spires do count like Trump Int'l Chicago, NYTimes, Bank of America, Petronas Tower etc...

wasn't that still disputed, havn't heard a final statement from CTBUH yet. But i think it will be counted as a spire, because i think they put like on the very top of the final antenna section an incasing or a mini crown or something so that it may be considered a spire instead.

To be honest the dispute and the controversy is media created. CTBUH likes this because it keeps them relevant in the media up until they make their official statement.

their guildlines are clear and i am positive this will be classified as a spire and counted as official height regardless of the last minute change of plans to forgo the radome. Radome is just window dressing and not part of the "structure" The people at the WTC just has to submit the revised plans which i'm sure they did to reflect the changes made and the spire will no longer be seen as incomplete for CTBUH to finally give their decision when the project is complete.

This is why i think the communication ring is brilliant. Its a ring around the spire and is attached mainly to the roof and not the spire. So they can't consider the spire as an antenna. The only thing i forsee is that they may only count up to where the beacon starts because i am not sure how they will count the beacon. We shall see.

This is pretty cool. Stephen Wiltshire, who is autistic artist, went on a helicopter ride around NYC once and was able to draw a 18ft panorama of the skyline off of memory.

What will be the final height of the One World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan once the antenna is completed this skyscraper will be beautiful once cladding is fully completed and all surroundings are completed.

It's 1776 feet...DEAL WITH IT PEOPLE! All you saying "the spire doesn't count", "it's not a spire, it's an antenna!", "it's not an antenna, it's a spire!", etc. WHO CARES?! The point is, it's an object that will be 1,776 feet in the air. Who willfully deletes the spire/antenna when looking at a building? The spire/antenna of the old towers is what made them so easily identified IMO. This is a great building and can't wait for it to finish. I won't care about the spire/antenna or what it's made out of when I look out 38 miles away!

It does matter. If you include antennas it changes the height of other buildings and logically you would have to include radio masts. And I'm not saying this is an antenna it isn't.
