Seems to have answered my ? in the other forum, I guess 315 was lifted weeks ago and today 314,, so does that leave 1 more normal piece then the double piececounting rocket.?? Or is this it until the final 2 connected pieces,, could of sworn 315 still needs erected right?

So if we could have 1 back?? Just 4 the hell of it would it be the original spire, or the original sparkling base? Neither do anything positive for this beauty, I'd have to say base, they could do something with the spiretenna in the future. And that's still not out of the question, hopefully Durst-bag get's enough "Great bldg" but what the hells with the top letters, maybe he'll ADJUST it somehow. With the base that's what we're getting no ifs, ands or buts.

That would be neat to watch. I imagine the winds are pretty crazy up there. I'm not ruling anything out at this point, I just want to see it up there

They should put the more top of the line restaurant on top of 2 WTC.

I agree. They should also redesign the interiors of the upper floors to be inhabitable so that the restaurant can be housed within the uppermost diamond. Something like "Diamond Sky Bistro" perhaps? "Windows on the World" sounds nice too...

This would essentially be a reversal of the original WTC design; observation at 1WTC and restaurant at 2WTC. Works for me either way!

I guess it would be cool to have some fine dining up there but honestly any of the WTC's would be pretty far at the bottom of my list of to eat at places. I guess if you live there all the time it would be cool, but the last time I was in NYC(2001), I remember there being so many small places to eat, that had really cheap, good food and very enjoyable atmosphere's. I would pick those small places over the fine dining any day simply because those are the places that make NYC to me.(as long as I can have a soda over 16ozs ) And from my experience of traveling the world a few times, that always seems to be the best place for a nice craft beer and a 20oz Porterhouse steak...You know the places that look a little rough on the outside, but have the best beer and best food in that area. I guess I'm just not that much into having to worry if I look fancy enough to be in a certain restaurant

Seeing as nobody appears to want to put a cent into this project until they're guaranteed a return, I doubt there will be any kind of proper restaurant in any of the towers.

I would say it's unlikely a helo will be used, as the final two sections would most likely be staged at an airfield rather than onsite. Can't see a helo lifting them from where they are now.

The tower looks black here, how much better it would have looked in black.

Iirc the temporary platform has to be removed before they can start work on the rings again

They are removing the blue netting on the northeast side on this Sunday morning.

Yes, it would have matched perfectly with the spire!

Could the spire be topped out today? Isn't the last two pieces connected? So far how many sections have been installed?

I don't believe so, because it appears that the "doghouse" (temp. platform) configuration has an allowance to permit the rings to pass through it.
