Guys, look at the base of the tower. There are white tower sections for the crane on the platform.

Seems like so much work for a little extra height. I wonder why they didn't install a jumping frame (or whatever you call it) when they originally erected the mast?

Or ever heard the saying, "beating a dead horse"

To beat a dead Horse = to persist in pursuing or trying to revive interest in a project or subject that has lost its usefulness or relevance.

I believe it is possible to install a climbing frame onto an existing mast (It comes in 2 halves that fit around the tower) but it's still strange that they didn't do it when they first put up the crane. And I think the plans called for the tower to be braced to the spire halfway up. We'll find out soon enough...

I said that because it's a good movie that everyone should see. You'd have to be blind to think that is anything other than a photoshop.

It seems that the spire isn't just going to be a skeletal steel structure, it seems that it may be covered with a white material after the skeletal structure is put in place. Keeping it as a Spire at 1776' and not an antenna. Does anyone know more information of what Im talking about? Or agree/disagree?

That might happen, but other then that one early render posted about a year ago, i still have not seen an official render to suggest that will happen.

Is it even going to be 1776 ft any more, I've heard 1783, 1789, even as high as 1803

Sooner or later it will reach 2001

Anyway, nice update, building finally about to completed. IMO, this building holds the record for the longest construction time in NY!
