Tower* Verre isn't that attractive. Besides, you don't even know if they'll stick with the current design

I heard on eyewitness news in New York that the building will be completed in three days

Anyone who is wondering when the last section of the spire will top off the building, it will be Monday. We have finally made it:

To be honest I scanned that article, and saw no mention whatsoever about it topping out

UP IN THE AIR—We've watched One World Trade Center (and its spire) climb... and climb... and climb. Finally, the last piece of the silvery beacon will get hoisted atop the skyscraper this Monday at noon. The press release touts: "The final section, comprising the 17th and 18th pieces, will bring the building to its iconic height of 1776. Once the pieces are installed, at a later date, the spire will make One WTC the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere." We don't really understand the difference between hoisting and installing, but whatever—it's about time.
sounds like they plan to bring 16 and 17 to the top of the tower monday, it could still sit up there for weeks until they actually install it like #15 which is currently sitting up there now.

The climbing frame has been installed on the crane tower. Maybe we will get to see it jump tomorrow.

AWESOME! AND the weather is going to be so nice for the foreseeable future! Does anyone know if there's anything else that needs to be done to the crane for it to climb high enough for the remaining 3 sections?

I hope we see this Mast top out within the next week!

It was jumped today 1 section, that is good enough to put up next piece, 316, saturday, but it needs to go higher and be guyed before final 317/318 piece can be installed. That will take a little while.
