Unless a TV or radio antenna has one higher, then yes, it would be the highest. However, considering those antennae sway up to 30 feet back and forth at the top, as well as complications of raising and removing the flag, I highly doubt any of them have one.

Care to elaborate on those safety reasons? I don't mind the antenna as it looks like any other antenna on any other building, but I was a bit disappointed to see the base squared off.

Glass produced dangerous shards during the stress test.

The new base design IMO looks better anyway.

....WTC 1 is dominant of course but what I like about it is that it doesn't stand alone, ignoring the neighborough .That's all the genius of SOM's design to induct a dialogue between the tower, the financial center from cesare Peli, the Woolworth, the Beekham, miss Liberty, and others...

Would it structurally possible to add the coating for the antenna at a later date, I mean i think the tower is astounding whichever way you go about it but given the possibility of future work, would it be possible to add the coating or would it cause to much disruption to the structure that will be completed after the rings are complete?

Everything is possible but keep in mind that they cancel the Radom for antena maintenance reason

I know that this does not belong in this feed but where it belongs it will not be exposed to many people and I believe that this building deserves more!!! It is very simplistic which makes me love it!!
Hope you enjoy the my May Update of it!!!! BTW, it's the 4 wtc
