432>219

Tell me now, which one is more of a cheat ? 1 WTC gets almost a third of its height from the antennae, Trump gets a little over a 1/7 of its height from the stick. By all definitions, Trump has a spire, and 1 WTC has an antenna.

I love both Chicago and NY, but your statement was very hypocritical
I agree 100%. It makes no sense how "these people, whom ever they are" judge and conclude the height of supertalls these days. If you ask me, and I know MANY agree with me, the true height of a building should be to the rooftop, however small or large, of the last floor. Period!

Will take any suggestions for pictures of 1WTC, 2WTC, 3WTC, 4WTC, or 7WTC!

UPDATE: Most likley June 29th
will be tough to shoot pics of 2WTC and 3WTC. Jersey City waterfront is always good, so isn't Brooklyn Heights but no matter where you go you will get an interesting perspective and picture. As awesome as they are up close, that isn't the best spot for a picture,IMO . East Broadway has great sight lines for it too. have fun

There were so many choppers flying around that special day, and I hoped too bad to get some large-size HD aerial shots of this beauty and I just delved...but damn...No chopper-rider on that day, took such pics, maybe.
After trying my spirits out, I just found out this one....
TOOOOO sad that there are no good pictures from that day
I hope somebody else to find and post some better pics from that day....

I hope this small notice is noticed below this huge pic...

i was just pointing something out. Trump's thin spire would make it taller than 1 WTC just like 1 WTC's spire would make it taller than the Willis/Sears Tower

The statement that fits one doesn't fit the other, so keep sharing opinions regardless of what others say...Hudson11

Man I didn't know the former design was that awesome...
I like the original design so much but there it's too hazy to feel that way.

In my opinion 1 WTC gives New York an amazing elegant skyline Can't wait till 2 WTC is completed

I'd just like to say that I agree with those who support the idea that roof height on a building should be the official height but it gets more complex if the roof isn't flat. The Chrysler Building's spire actually is the roof because it isn't flat and it's still one of the most elegant skyscrapers in the world with a design that ranks right up there with the best of the new ones and it's obvious that the tapering crown of the building that ends with a pinnacle should be counted in the total height and of course it is. But having said that I also think 1WTC is a stunning design and soon this flap about the height will be decided and soon forgotten but NYC has a beautiful addition to its skyline and I can't wait to see the rest of the associated buildings finally rise.

not for awhile, the guy wires will probably be installed first, the temporary platforms need to be dismantled and the comms ring needs to be finished.

i dunno, a certain amount of haze in the skyline with the right sunlight makes for an awesome big city skyline pic

Just a little, I agree, but if it gives the look of air-pollution, no way...
