The one where it's a few dozen meters wide, and over 400 meters tall?

You'd think the cost of putting one in would be much less than losing Conde Nast. But I'm skeptical that's true, because Vogue is only one magazine. I'd doubt they'd let the tail wag the dog.

Relax.

December 2015 opening for Transit Hub is from Otie.

I said it might get pushed back to 1Q or 2Q of 2016 because there could be some unforeseen delays.

Well the best scenario would be to open it before that which is also what he said, the deadline is apparently December 2015 but if all goes well I'm sure they can get it open before that...

Correct, the current schedule considers several types of delays, including Sandy recover efforts.

Building it first would create high commercial desirability, but then he wouldn't have the necessary funding from there to build the towers that they want, which is his main priority in the first place. Bottom line is, for the best results, build Towers 1, 3, and 4 first, let the rent collect to build the transportation hub, and more tenants will flock to the area because of the PATH Station so the final space can be constructed for the biggest profit and least time.
Not true, the whole hub project has risen to $~4.00 billion, and it is getting higher due to Sandy. What most people don't realize is that most of the project is being financed by the Federal Transit Administration, with a little remaining from PA's pockets. Sandy related stuff is being payed byu insurance companies. Silverstein is not involved directly in this project, and the PA's priority is to open its jem as quickly as possible.

As strange as it may look like, the hub will be the masterpiece that the Port Authority will praise as theirs, not 1WTC.

I used to find the base repulsive and too bland for such a spectacular building. However, it's starting to grow on me and I'm starting to like it. It's still disappointingly bland right now, but hopefully it will shimmer with splendor once the fins are extended out

Mercenary, Nobody likes to hear your predictions because they are most likely inaccurate and stir up rage. How do you exactly know when everything will open? You originally said the glass would be complete in December of 2012, but it is almost June and the glass hasn't been topped out yet. Stop making these fake predictions!

That will really be pushing it. I see it happening during the first week in June. There's still penny left on the SE and NW sides, and you can count on a little bad weather sometime during the next three weeks.

Still, base cladding is far from being finished a well as interior work currently going on.Just because the mast is finished doesn't mean all focus is now on upper cladding. There's still work to be done finishing up the communications ring, installing guyed wires, removing temporary platforms and parapet railing, etc. : cheers:
