If i'm not mistaken, Taipei 101 is also one of the strongest skyscraper, featuring 8 mega-columns, & 80m deep foundation it was designed to withstand typhoon/cyclone & earthquake of the ring of fire zone. if the building still sways, the engineers & architect also added an extra defense by designing a large steel pendulum that serves as a tuned mass damper to counter the building's movement in case major earthquake or a strong typhoon/cyclone strikes.

and i don't want to start a skyscraper vs skyscraper / city vs city crap, but i'm just curious if 1WTC stronger? considering it has a very advanced concrete combination and all.

can't wait to see 1WTC & Shanghai Tower's Nat Geo documentary!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was designed to withstand earthquakes (as most Pacific Rim countries are quite vulnerable), so I wouldn't doubt it if it's right on up there.

Huh? I was stating that this building(1WTC) does have a core because he said it didn't and is most likely if not stronger then the building he is saying is stronger the Tower 1, which I highly doubt.

WTC 1 is the strongest building on the planet.

The Concrete used on Dams in 3,000 psi, WTC 1 is 14,000 psi.

And the concrete core is 6feet thick.

Those people who think 1 WTC is the best on earth, but say ST (or any other skyscrapers) is the best, thanks to jealousy,
that's not the way to settle down in your heart trying to say fake and truly the studpiest things about this angel.
The guy whose name I have forgotten (and I don't think I should flip back over to the pages just to see who he was) and puked over at 1 WTC
because Shanghai Tower is not as good, must go to ST thread and puke at Shanghai Tower itself.
If you say worst thing about 1 WTC which is indeed untrue, that is not going to make Shanghai tower wonderful.
Shanghai tower is not going to be beautiful just because the swollen ***** of a horse wraps up the awkward pole.

God bless One WTC and America. CHEERS!

Don't they still have to put chains going from the top of the antenna to the roof?
