He's right, the observation deck is on the west side. East side is for tenants, I believe.

Thanks for clearing the confusion up! It makes a lot more sense actually to have it on the west side because otherwise it would be quite inconvenient for people if it was the other way round haha

Now, it's your turn to post a picture with core and super columns. Also, go over to Chinese building threads to see what an actual core or a supercolumn looks like!
Ever heard of sequencing? Obviously they constructed the steel frame work before the core, whereas other towers they've reversed this order. There isn't a modern tower in the world without a core.

Seriously one of the stupidest posts I've ever read on SSC.

NYCrulz what's the story with this hudson yards North? Does that mean there will be 2, and what is their height going to be? Sounds like a monster, you reference it quite a bit,

Moravak photo 46479, pg 2324 I was going to ask you what the hell, was that was some kind of photoshop of an extention on 1 wtc(in the foreground, like maybe a different design and how it "would have" looked.). It took me a minute to see, it was a reflection of another bldg. That is a sweeeet photo, and damn the mirror like image of this tower had me fooled for a minute.

@ bigreach:
Didn't you know 'bout Hudson Yards North Office Tower and Coach Tower, yet??
North Office tower is supposed to be 407 meters tall and the other ~280 meters...
Btw, I am most excited 'bout North tower in NYC, right now....
You can look for their own thread...

Actually, now that I look at all these photos, I realize that it would be best for 1WTC to remain alone, without the rest of the complex constructed. I mean, seriously, 1WTC and 2WTC are both great-looking building, 2WTC even more so, but being built one next to another will diminish the impact of both towers on the skyline. I say build something relatively lowrise next to 1WTC and find a different location for 2WTC for them both to really shine.

Well that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. I think that gap needs to be filled so BRING ON THE TOWERS!! The more the merrier if you catch my drift.

I'm a fan of 2WTC since the project was unveiled but now I share your opinion!

more glass is being installed in the earthcam view. Looks like a day or two of more work until the side is finished, minus the lift.
