Absolutely stunning tower! The cladding has turned out to be gorgeous. I do feel though that it would be better if 2WTC wasn't built now though or built somewhere further away from 1WTC. I feel the significance and effect of 1WTC might be diminished with an equally large tower next to it.

I'm disagree, I believe both towers are gonna look awesome together one next to the other and finally when everything is completed, we will see a really nice set of big large towers.

2 WTC should be built on the site of the 130 liberty street or also as the twins none are obstructed

Final Render E.T.A.= ?Monday?
Rough draft

I just got in to check the progress on the Vray pre-calculations. If I were to give a percentage I'd say its about 15%. I believe (read "hope") that once the rings are out of frame the smaller number of pixels for the spire alone will go rather quickly. I have no clue how long the actual creation of the final images will take, but I imagine stitching them together in Adobe After Effects will take three hours. I'm going to do everything possible on my end to ensure that you guys get the highest quality available. I won't say anything specific because it's not certain by any means, but I want it to be national TV perfect.

Yep. They'll connect the mast and the communications ring.

Actually, we're both right . It attaches to the ring's stilts where they are attached to the roof.

Oops! I'll make a new render on Monday, when this one is done. I'm going to add a lot more detail to the rings any way. Embarrassingly, I used that image as a reference when I modeled the rings and still messed it up.

PMad, your renders are so flawless, nobody would know the difference or much less really care.

Most of the SSP diagrams are wrong, which had me thrown for a loop as well.

The thing is that I've been contacted by someone who is working with a team on a television documentary and he's interested in using my renders. I don't want to have people watch it and think "that photo doesn't mach that model."

Edit: I really want to add platforms to the rings once I finish this render. Without them the model looks off, the center platform is floating in air. I made a list of simple adjustments I'll add when I do that. Since I'll already have a render done by then I can allow more time to be dedicated to that render.

Oh, wow. Congrats, man!

Well, at least it's something simple like guyed wire connection points rather than an off measurement in mast diameter or something like that. Good luck with it. Hope to see more renders soon!

That's why I'm on spire version three. I corrected diameters, ladders, bolt plates, bolts, elevations, colors, mounting points, and much more. I just remembered that I could have performed frame by frame passes (lighting and other calculations) at a lower resolution than the actual render. Maybe it will make the render faster or something. Since I can't do rigorous other stuff on this computer while the render goes, I'll hopefully be able to answer any questions about the spire.
