Don't place the img tags in caps.

Happy memorial day everyone!

Great progress on the base cladding, the extended fins makes it look even better!

Are the base fins mechanically operated?

That's a great photo!

Reminds me of this rendering. Now if only we had 2-3 WTC.....

I'm about 40% done with the render. I've thought about it and if it requires less computer resources and therefore time, I'll make short 10 or 15 second clips of each section so that in a documentary they can say something about any section and have a background video. And, if you have ever wondered, a minute worth of 1920x1080 HDR stills (1800 frames) comes out to 13.90 GB. The reason this is worth mentioning is that it means that had I succeeded with the first render, I would have had to combine over 15 GB of stills in Adobe After Effects. The other unfortunate result is the guesstimated time for rendering the rings with platforms. It slows drastically whenever a platform on the spire is in frame because of all the components and shadows from the grating, an entire ring of grating would be exponentially slower.

Is this the tallest box form skyscraper in the world? I love it... It screams power and something about it is just so quintessentially American...

Video of the News 12 LI Chopper over Long Beach! You can clearly see the WTC dominate the skyline! If you don't want to wait, forward to 2:12 and look in the extreme top right.

It's not really a 'box' per se, and it we're going for 'sort of boxes' then SWFC is taller

One World Trade Center, 8 years makes all the difference.

One World Trade over the Lower Manhattan skyline on this Memorial Day Weekend. Left - June 2005, Right - May 2013

Shot these in the afternoon from my phone's cam. This year's memorial day was quite gorgeous.

view from the BQE..

Just figured that this camera loves to distort images taken in motion. Say hello to the new WTC twin towers

view from 12th ave

The camera working its magic again..

from Edgewater, NJ. Try spotting the tower..

This might help?

If not, then this definitely will:

I seriously LOVE and ADORE the "glow effect" the sun causes on this towers surface. It makes the building appear holy or the likes. Would be interesting to know if that is intentional or happened by accident.

That was intended to do. The old wtc towers also gave this 'glow effect' at their small corner sides.
