I'm a bit worried too Hopefully they still know to place it there or something had to be changed? They couldn't have forgotten could they?

Total supremacy. I love it. At least something good came out of 9/11

Remarkably, that good came out despite a lot of criticism along the way. Not that long ago Paul Goldberger wrote in The New Yorker:

"... I did find the early versions of the tower by David Childs to be more exciting than his final scheme. I would have liked a building with a more
striking shape, as well as a more elegant skin."

(Bear in mind that Goldberger also didn't like the pyramid I. M. Pei proposed for the Louvre, then modified his opinion once it was built.)

Bob (disassembling glass hoist assembly): "Hey Jim, I feel like we missed one."

Jim (hammering on a stubborn bolt): "What... I don't think so, I thought I heard someone say something about the corners, but they must have gotten it sorted out by now."

Bob: "Alright, that must be it. We might be done by lunch if we hurry up."

Jim (on the ground looking up): "Hey, whats that?"

Bob: "Oh, on the corner? I guess I was right!"

And slightly off topic, a 30 second 1080i video uncompressed is 6.96 GB. Don't worry though. I'm re-processing it and its on frame 100/900 and its only 11.8 MB. Youtube wouldn't even acknowledge the first video. Also, I have a theory that if I use a slightly less detailed image format when rendering the stills it will lower the render time without drastically decreasing quality. I'll only post this if the quality is up to par, otherwise I'll try different settings.

When will the cladding finish and when will the 9/11 museum open?

Meh.

I'm deleting the 480p video to prevent confusion.

I used HDR files to prevent quality loss in post processing, instead I over complicated the process to an impossible scale. I'll experiment with extremely simple renders of the rings after I refrain from rendering for a while.
Here is the complete process and list of programs.
1) Modeling geometry in SketchUp
2) Pecalculating Light Catch and Irradiance Map with Vray
3) Renderng 1920x1080 .HDR stills with Vray
4) Rendering .m2v 1080 29.97i video from 900 .HDR images with After Effects
5) Rendering an .MP4 video in 1080i 29.97i from .m2v
6) Upload to youtube
7) Make a 1/2 speed copy using youtube's slow mo via interpolation
8) Post Completed videos to forums
9) Promise to never make a video in Vray again.
10) Decide to try something that ends up taking a week.
11) Repeat.

You could use VirtualDub to compress the video. It can compress it to a few hundred megabytes without any noticable quality loss

Nothing good came out of 9/11 but I see what you mean. This Tower and Tower 4 are looking great, as well as the other Towers that will rise there. That void has finally been filled.

I have a batch of four still day renders going over night. I'm done with Vray videos. I fixed the unnaturally wavy glass and added grating and bolt plates to the Communication Rings. Once I get the day renders done I'll change some settings (including those interior lights) and make a night render tomorrow night, giving me tomorrow evening after a charity event to render an airplane section I made a long time ago and to get my mind off of the world trade center for a little while. On Friday, before a wedding I'll set up scenes for a non Vray video render that will be nearly 2 minutes long and will go into the documentary I mentioned a while ago. I'm going to have to wait to take that break from modeling/rendering. I have quite a lot to get done.
Edit: I feel like I'm setting records for the adoption of a new program in only about two weeks. Also, Thanks Otie for introducing me to Vray.
P.S. I experimented with reflection settings besides the office glass. I want to see if you notice which ones I fiddled with.

Peter, your model is just mind-blowing, however, it's missing the alluminium vent hoods! Can't wait to see your work on the documentary.

I agree. 2WTC should have been the main tower, and this should have taken 2WTC's place as the smaller, sidekick tower(spireless).
