It's also amazing that the longest cruise ships would be almost as high as 1WTC (roof height) if placed on end.

See, in that last photo the mast looks incredible. It and the mechanical vents really complement each other nicely. I really like the raw mast, as I'm a deconstructivism advocate (as are a few of you), but if you prefer its futurist aspects, then you most likely preferred the original.

Just checked EarthCam. I can only see 3 remaining temporary platforms yet to be removed from the mast. Plenty of work being done near the South entrance.

You mean the one from LOST? My first look at Manhattan was almost the same... flying throug the clouds in a rainy night and then boom, there's the ESB and the city in all its glory and lights... preparing to land in Newark.

I think he means from lost. I had to google "Jacob's brother, the Monster" so I understood what he was talking about and it brought up "smoke monster" so I assumed that's what it was. Guess I need to watch more tv

And the temporary crane platform has been dismantled largely as well. But most progress will be in the interior from now on..
The doghouse is being dismantled as noted and welding going on and electricians are installing lighting on rings and spire catwalks, but you can't see everything going on inside. Thyssenkrupp is working almost around the clock on elevators, electricians are working on substations and generators on upper mechanical floors and Benson is installing louvers. Then on future tenant floors sheet rock and bathrooms are being installed. Most of the work other than podium glass will be not be visible to earth-cam, but there are more than 1000 people working on this tower still. The building will ready to be fitted out by Conde by the end of the year.

They still haven't added the last triangle tip on the cladding near the top of the tower. I wonder what happened?
