You seem to be deliberately misunderstanding me. Obviously I meant the time between original concept and completion. Of 1WTC. It's cool that you like the spire. I don't. Agree to differ?

A minute of negative thought degrades your state of mind, and so far as it's not going to change in any way, why would you want to degrade your mind because everytime you look at the tower you'll see the spire, no matter if you try to avoid it though. let's just love it.

The top length side edges of the parapet are approximately ~43m in length.

And there's still missing a window panel in the 10th picture on the west side of the tower in the lower floors.

they are about the width of the base divided by SQRT(2), so based on a 61m (200ft) base, the top would be a square with about 43m (141ft) sides.

(CNTower already gave that answer, but I thought I would add the physical reason.)

Take the length of the base sides (200 ft.), divide it by two (100), and multiply by √2. The length in simplified radical form is 100√2, which is around 141.5 feet.

Hey did anyone else notice a couple of days ago that fireproofing had been applied to the jumbo columns on the east side of the base and then was promptly removed? I wonder what's up with that?

Good catch, I missed it. It does look like they applied a coating to the two center columns from about the floor level to the top of the lobby, then removed it because it is more discolored than any other area with white splotches visible.
