Just those two small sections white would have been nice even.

Yes, but anyways the spire was supposed to have the white radome so it would fit perfect with the color of the building.

Yeah, only one of my grandparents was even alive when it was built, and he wasn't even 1 when it started construction. The Woolworth Building and 1WTC will be a true 100 year gap, and that one is even cooler.

Yeah that's even better. I have to say I prefer 1913 though. Sorry 1WTC.

Well it's no coincidence they call the Woolworth Building a castle in the sky.

The "Cathedral of Commerce" is my favorite alias. I look forward to seeing its lobby. It's immaculate in pictures. The detail...

The exhibit on the Woolworth Building in the Skyscraper museum is fascinating, if you are able to go...crazy to think that Lower Manhattan probably evoked a similar reaction that Lujiazui in Shanghai (or most developing cities today) does.

Well, I enjoyed my 30 day trial of Vray and I'm getting a new computer tomorrow so I'll install the demo on that one too I guess, but I'll wait until school starts so I can buy the personal use academic version for $250 instead of the $800 regular licence. In other words, it will be a week before I start producing photo-realistic renders again and then after a month it will stop until Vray 1.6 for sketchup becomes available (hopefully at academic discount). I could also probably walk from engineering to the Archi's and get it there free too... Anyway, the point is that I'll be limited in my rendering abilities.

Definitely the most powerful skyline in the world that changed like nothing else in the last 12 years!

Great post. The photos and buildings are almost exactly in the same spot.
