Excuse me, what? How you can compare Shanghai's history with New York's? New York was one of the first cities on the territory of the USA and nowadays it is one of the most know and visited cities. New York is classic, Shanghai is modern, but nothing more...

^You called Shanghai only modern?
There is a reason why Shanghai can build tall buildings like Shanghai Tower, not only because Shanghai is modern. Shanghai has a very healthy economy, that's why they can towers like that.

I did't say anything about it's economy. It is modern in terms of architecture.

Enough of the Shanghai vs New York arguements!

Both NY and Shanghai have some great buildings under construction, and both have a great skyline.

Lets leave it at that, please.

Have you done those pics from New Ark airport? Looks great! That was my first sight at Manhattan skyline - from there.

As far as we're talking about the best skyline, it definitely depends on people. But what i think is, NYC skyline is not something simply etched with all those buildings, but it's a part of history. The skyline evolved tens of decades back, houses the tens of decades old skyscrapers, and there had been a dramatic change after 9/11. Now it is in the phase of reclaiming the skyline back. Moreover, it is also emotion-attached. So, i concurr that NYC skyline is not only merely skyline, but a part of history, people's emotion, change and so on.

Maybe, that's part of the plan, so it houses the top floor.

I wish it will be installed light better than the Shard tower in the opening ceremony.

if you're being sarcastic about my comment (unlikely but anyway...) then I meant that I knew it was bright but I never knew that it would be that bright

Yes I agree the red led strobe blinks a little to fast.
