The Big Apple is coming back now

I want to see the aerial picture of Manhattan, and WTC 1 New York becomes the stalk of the Big Apple

I'm from London, I love London and it will always be my favourite city, but I have to admit New York is an amazing city defiantly my second favourite city without a doubt, if I was to live in any other city it would be New York and seeing the beautiful new world trade centre rise from the ashes of the old shows what an amazing city the big apple is and always will be. In my opinion London and New York are the greatest cities on the planet.

On the subject of the tower it is an amazing and completely beautiful skyscraper, a perfect successor to the twin towers and what I love about this development is the memorial to the 9/11 attacks, that New York has placed in the middle of its financial centre where space would normally be prioritised for office space a stunning memorial to the victims of 9/11, I think its outstanding.

we are all glad to know that London is your favourite city on earth. maybe you should travel a bit. btw. a bit off topic..
yes the new 1wtc is a true marvel and the new icon of NYC. Without the intention hurting anyones emotions I want to say that this building is far more beautiful than the old twins.

The Museum is suppose to be open by mid/late 2014, and 2 WTC is still on hold.

Hmm, I dunno

I may stand alone on this, but I haven't warmed up to the cladding of the base. I had hoped I would. I really would prefer that it matched the rest of the building. It looks yellowish-greenish by comparison, and with the fins out it looks like a cheese grater. It just looks like an afterthought. And I believe it is to some extent, that is I think it was one of the things that was decided last. Maybe I'm wrong about that, maybe the spire was. But I'm OK with the spire and communications rings.

I've warmed up to the building as a whole, it's almost hard to take your eyes off those elongated triangular shiny blue facets.

Being that I'm new and this is my 2nd post, this may appear as a reply to someone in particular. It is meant as a general comment.

I think this is one of the few buildings that look better than the renderings. I have no doubt that this complex when complete will be a fitting and suitable replacement to it's predecessors.

I agree with others, the base cladding finds extended do look great, but the color of the glass doesn't correspond with the rest of the building.

I agree completely. In most renders, the building looks much less shiny and stainless steel edges look very awkward. In reality it doesn't, thankfully.

I gotta say this tower grew on me. Despite it being very unpretentious and modest in size, it's details are very appealing.
