From WTCProgress Facebook Awesome shots of the roof. I still drooling.

A great look at One WTC’s spire through the communication rings on the roof of the building.

Very nice.

I don't expect them to do much on the building this week, due to the incoming heatwave.

Very nice pics from the communication rings, but damn, the spire looks rusty and worn-out as hell, and it's only erected since a few months. And I'm not so fond of the construction workers' writings on the lower part of the spire...Noone will ever see those beside maintenance workers anyway, but still, that looks ugly.

I think these ring floors could be a good observation deck...

Until the radiation from the antenna does pretty bad damage to your body.

Isn't possible.

I believe the equipment up there emits radiation.

i hate them with passion. They are massive, but that brown colour and cladding is just so boring.

I think that's what makes the spire/Antenna light up in different colors.

correct, shame they're just sitting there after all of the work the crews did to get them up there and working.

I laugh at an earlier remark on New York losing any stature whatsoever. It continues to thrive as an Alpha ++ city.

The cladding towards the base isn't as nice with the smaller windows, but i've always liked it.
More important and relevant to this building now is that they ascend upwards towards 1 WTC, like the other towers of the new WTC.
The new WTC has the advantage of being built after the WFC, while the WFC was built after the old WTC.

Interesting link.

I don't know why this caught my eye, but I was suprised to see Houston as a "Beta", which was behind Dallas and Miami. I always thought Houston to be right behind Chicago in such rankings. I suppose Miami has become the eco epicenter between the US and Latin America though, making it important....

If you mean the height from the base to the top of the 3rd communication ring, then 1,417 feet (432 meters)

However if you meant height of only the communication ring I think (Not certain) that is 49 feet (15 meters)
