Indeed, the new buildings are more aesthetic than the old ones. There is no reason, whatsoever, to speculate on how the former imposing buildings look better in any sense. I will go by these present ones' look than the oldies, if I am to choose between them.

It is totally refreshing watching how they are progressing with works on site.

Now that all the guy wires are done, will the roof crane be dismantled, or is there still stuff that needs to be done on the roof?

I think the elevator stays longer, I think Otie wrote some time ago that Conde Nast will also use it for fitting out their floors.. I doubt that it will come down this year. But the rest sounds possible, though rather optimistic.

I think the guy-wires are not yet tightened.

Correct. When tightened, they will look like this:

Oh my what an ugly spire, could not think of anything worst, colour wise. It's like it has been there for years and has rusted. Seriously a shame cause the tower is stunning. Not saying it's a bad design for the spire it's just the colour really puts me off. It does not even match the colour scheme of the building. A much older or different designed building could pull it off better IMO.

It was the guy here named alan88 who first wrote it.

Some modifications will be done to the Atlanta hoists per Conde requirements.

Good thing it's not that colour, then, is it?

It appears to be the orange reflection from the evening sun. You can also see the orange reflection on the cladding as well. The spire isn't "rust" colored what so ever

Edit: After looking at the picture closer, I'm pretty sure it is a render or has been through photoshop once or twice. It almost looks cartoonish.

I can't believe this tower still hasn't been completed yet, are they waiting for September?

that rendering does not necessarily reflect what everything will look like in the end.

Which floors will Condé Nast have? Hopefully they will go ahead and remove the portion of the hoist from the roof down to just above Condé's top floor, and clad that area.

That is a rendering... not a photograph. It's metal that will not rust and always appear silver.

Just dug it up that Condé Nast will have floors 20 through 44, which are of course the bottom office floors. So hopefully the huge section of the hoist from floor 45 to the roof will go away soon and that area get cladded shortly afterwards.

Guy wires have been installed? Good. Now remove that damn crane once and for all so we will finally end this terrible post twin towers era.

Am I the only one who likes the spire? Is not that bad... it could have been worse.
