If you compare both Freedom and Empire, Empire's so smaller than Freedom.

Someone think the antenna of Freedom is small, however looking under photos. Top of the antenna can contain more than 10 people.

If you weren't afraid the height, you could climb and take the air on the top of Freedom.

I'd say steel to glass.

People are complaining about the new towers vs. the old...
I must say, whether or not you like the current iteration, you can't argue that the complex is breathtaking (the memorial and grounds).

I'm completely agree. This is one of the most humble and amazing areas in NYC right now. It's so moving and spectacular. I can't wait till the rest of the complex to be completed

No, the equipment will just have their own radomes that do not cover the entire spire. See: ESB and Conde Nast. Some of the equipment mounted on their antenna have separate, small radome coverings.

The old cladding was aluminium. No concrete was used in the old WTC's structure.

Well the floors had concrete.

Looking on the earth cams you can clearly start to see Fulton street taking shape on the south entrance of the tower.

I meant the skeleton/vertical structure... concrete didn't hold up any of the tower is what I'm trying to say.
And yeah, that road has been a mess for a while...

Concrete was easily in the foundation, so I'm pretty sure that was a huge contributor to holding up the towers

I really like the new towers design, but at night, compared to the old twins it looks a bit too "modern" because of the white light at the inside. Maybe this is only because currently there are no offices inside?
Hopefully this changes!

No need to worry about that. Once they finally finish work on the inside and install the permanent ceiling lights it will look as other buildings around. That's if they don't make it look like the Goldman Sachs building, which looks like a giant nuclear reactor at night.

I highly commend the architects, developers and other officials responsible for the planning and implementation of this fantastic project. I tip my hat in admiration. When you compare the old picture with the new, it really goes to show how outstanding and breathtaking the new complex is, and how it truly defines the skyline as its ancestors once proudly did. It reminds me of a crystal mountain, a fortress of great dominance and honor. What a fantastic new landmark to bring in the 21st century Manhattan skyline. I think they should call the new WTC site the "Crystal City". That's how I'm going to refer to it.

That's a really old rendering and it makes the WTC look really small; maybe it's just a bad angle or perspective or something, but it's as if 2-4 WTC were scaled down, maybe because of the distance or something. I hope IRL they will look much bigger from most angles cause that rendering makes it appear that there's only one supertall.
