The views are amazing from there. Did you take this video? I love watching golf, and have been glued to the TV since the start of the tournament, but I have found that I haven't actually seen much of the actual golf play...more looking past the golfers at NYC

Thanks for the video

Hi guys. Greetings from Cape Town where we only dream about supertalls

1 WTC is a breathtakingly beautiful building! Sorry if this has been answered before, but with regards to the antenna, will the entire spire be covered or is it only that top tip? Looks a bit unfinished don't you think, or what's the deal?

No, the antenna will not be covered due to maintenance costs/efforts pertaining to the radome. I do not think the antenna looks that bad in my opinion. It is comparable to the antenna on the Sears Tower, John Hancock Tower, Conde Nast, ESB, etc.

Hi Afrikanerboy, your city doesn't need supertalls. It has a unique skyline of its own.

So what are those white wires hanging down from the whole spire?

I think the spire will soon turn into a antenna and the tallest building in the USA will once again be Willis Tower...

They must be starting to disassemble the crane The Golf Channel just zoomed in on the Crane Jib and it was full of workers walking back and forth on the Jib like ant's. It was funny listening to the commentators saying they wouldn't do that job for a million dollars an hour
I'm terrified of heights, but for a million bucks an hour, I'll suck it up for 10 hours and then call it quit's

Earlier this morning the crane lowered the construction trailer that had been on the top ring for weeks. Guess that was one of its last jobs.

I wonder if the cables hanging from the spire will be used to help with the crane disassembly, perhaps to help stabilize the boom? Seems unlikely though.

My guess is it'll remove the counterweights first. I just noticed that the Brooklyn Bridge live EarthCam is aimed at 1WTC:

Edit: Well, it was five minutes ago.

That's highly unlikely those cables will assist with crane disassembly. But I too wonder what is going on. Very interesting
