This isn't the one I want to show you, so no worries about spoiler alerts. (Although you've probably seen the rendering.)
Almost but it's not but [img]

So I'm supposed to delete ?

Edit: It worked! (but I got a different pic that didn't HAVE in it, so there's a need for more trial!

This one didn't have url either so what's the point?

But by clicking on the link I can see the original rendering.

Weird. This one doesn't have . Must have typed something wrong.

I really hope you're right about this, but it you're wrong, it's not your fault.

When the randome was about to get scrapped, I treated it as a rumor. Just like the rumor that it was painted white. Or that it was going to be lit on 9/11. Some became true, like the May 2nd rooftop lift, or the randome scrapping, but some of them weren't, like the painting white thing.

The only reason I feel this will ever be lit on a regular basis and not only on special occasions or not being lit at all is because of you guys' confidence. Without that, I would have given up on the lighting.
It wouldn't make any sense to test the lighting during the day. For one, it won't ever be on during the day, and besides, how can you get a feel for what it will look like at night if you test it during the daytime??

Also, there's no sense in "giving up on the lighting." The Port Authority didn't buy 156 fixtures and install/aim/program them all just to let them sit up there and collect dust. It WILL be lit and it will impossible for the eye not to be drawn to it when viewing the Manhattan skyline. Trust me on this one.

I said I WAS worried about it not being lit ON A REGULAR BASIS. They have the lights, so I was worried they wouldn't light it except on special occasions. But I'm convinced now it's going to be lit EVERY NIGHT.

And the point of testing it during the day is so that there wouldn't be a "spoiler alert". I'm sure the construction workers aren't going to work all night JUST so they can see how powerful the spire is. They've tested it on ground, so we KNOW it's powerful. It was just a suggestion, but they've already tested it at night, so we don't need to worry about that.

I am planning a future trip to NYC but I need all your help. I want to go when the observation deck and museum is finished so when would that be? And is there any word at all on when the actual site will be finished? I am sure Larry wants to see it finished in his life am I right?

2015-observation deck completion
spring 2014-museum completion
2020-estimated site completion (if 5 WTC is built it'd take longer than that)

In This picture - in the fore part, the "History" sits proud, in the middle, the "Present" stands tall... Now I'm looking up to the "Future"

Stars? the graininess you see is from the photo itself, a filter must have been applied a messed with, but no stars, stars in NYC are hard to spot...

My friend, I can see you're still very young and new to this forum, so let me give you a friendly advice. It doesn't really matter how many likes you have or how many posts you posted. If you post quality and useful stuff and contribute to quality discussion people will respect you and take you seriously. You can have one million posts or likes, but if you're here only to collect likes, you won't deserve any respect. You will annoy people and end up being banned sooner or later. So please, put this excitement about likes behind or do it on Facebook and focus on good content. It's good for you and this forum in general.

Latest word is that the PA is not planning to go LIVE with the spire/beacon lighting on Monday anymore. But keep an eye out for a nighttime test on Friday or Saturday evening. Hopefully with a little heads-up, someone will be able to capture some pics or video of the tests.
