The spire will look a LOT better when it has equipment attached, dishes, telecommunications stuff etc.

It looks too thin now. Too spindly. That will change when it gets some stuff slapped on the side, especially on the donut.

Glad I made someone's day!

The complete ranking is in this link:
http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2013/11/18/which-u-s-cities-have-economies-bigger-than-entire-countries/?mod=wsj_streaming_stream

They did not do London, Tokyo & Shanghai separately because the article is comparing US cities vs. Countries as far as economic size.

Note:
London Economy included in United Kingdom total as a whole
Tokyo Economy included in Japan Total
Shanghai Economy included in China Total
& finally, Hong Kong is ranked #23

You know, I'm interested to see how it will turn out with the broadcasting equipment on it as well. However, the Empire State Building's antenna doesn't look good at all with all that stuff on there; makes it look too crowded and busy.
But we'll see in the near future, I suppose.

Anyway, I happen to disagree with it -- I happen to like the stripped down spire, although I do wish it was a little thicker. Certainly more than the awkward radome-enclosed version. That said, I don't think attaching equipment to the side of it would improve it in any way.

I hope an effort is made to make the dishes on the communications rings look at least somewhat uniform. Although the uniformity we've seen in the renders isn't likely, a crazy, multi-colored hodgepodge would be pretty ugly.

The tower looks so massive taken a bit out of context, poking through at unexpected places.

Am I am the only one that is disappointed that World Financial Center is being renamed to 'Brookfield Place'?

I agree, it's a disappointing name compared to the grandeur of the World Financial Center. Sounds like it should be a name of a suburban shopping mall.

(Can't say Im taking it personally enough to be ashamed though.)
