I dunno but for Conde Nast they don't need it to go all the way to the top. And can't the internal elevators handle the moving of tables and such stuff?

I believe Conde Nast needs it to fit out their floors, so it will probably be similar to what we see at 4 WTC where the elevator has stopped being dismantled at the floors that need fitting out.

I don't know why, but I do know they're using the external elevator for the company to move its things into the building.

How big is the inside of the elevator anyway? When I see footage of people riding inside it, it always looks cramped to me.

From the pics that were posted earlier on this page I estimate the elevator to be 6 meters or 20 feet wide and about 5 meters or 17 feet long

Yeah, I compared its width to the parapet, which is just over 140' long.

Wow. It always looks tiny when compared with the rest of the tower. Just gives a great example of how massive this skyscraper is.

One WTC’s 63rd floor marketing center features great views of the New York Harbor. (Not a rendering!)

Offices floors look pretty good, they are actually larger than I expected, even the very top floors.
Not on the scope of the Twin Towers, but the floor plate size isn't half bad, I must say.

I can't wait until the LED lights for the mechanical floors are installed and the base is lit up. It's going to be SWEET.

Well, you can actually see lights shining through the MEP vents in that last photo.

From what I've heard, the LED's will be shining up on the outside of the building. Not really sure though.

The whole reason NOT to keep tourists out. If we did that, that would be giving the terrorists what they want. That observation deck will be awesome!!!

I believe they will and this building will look so much better at night once we are able to see its entire outline.
