Superhero moves are boring. Hollywood should go all dark and French.

Very strange indeed...
Two light bulbs went out and the sections went out, obviously.
But seriously, probably an equipment test on the permanent electrical system as mentioned above. They turned off the lights on the showcase floor.

Edit: sorry if this double posts.

At some point we should stop suggesting other buildings that should be built on the spot and compliment the designers on what is already a fantastic looking site, built in trying circumstances.

What are you smoking? That's a rather absurd comment. It tapers fine. Its design compliments the spire with how it tapers to the top, unlike 1WTC, whose spire looks awkward, like a needle just sticking out.

Soon the only glass left to add will be where the elevator is.

If smooth curves are what dictates the beauty of a skyscraper then you can leave 1WTC out since it is formed by sharp angular lines and not curves.

He's saying it looks ******' wonky and I agree. Everyone has different taste. Accept that and stop trying to convince people otherwise -- sheesh.

Western European countries have few skyscrapers but more influence. Meanwhile, China builds skyscrapers/supertalls as a necessity due to their very large and rapidly urbanizing population. The Gulf states have a low population density yet carelessly throw away money to build half-empty supertalls for the rich.

The point is, having the biggest skyscrapers is not necessarily a sign of a country's power, influence or technological capacity. They were just created to maximize floor space in a small area.
look....sure New Yorkers will love their town and not accept that other places build taller...Ok accept they do but try and justify why and why not all that doesn't change a thing about their town...
But as an outsider as far away from New York or anywhere else....New York doesn't need to justify anything ! It is a City that is 'the city' ....all others can copy or build higher or build whatever but no where else has the soul, the heart of a real city anywhere anyhow...They have the history like street history and skyscraper history...the subway..the highline...now defunct yet renued...as a park.New York has Central Park and theatre and bright lights and intimate cafes...offices and apartments, rivers that flow strong and turbulent through the harbour to the Atlantic...Iconic world famous statements like the ESB, Chrysler and Statue of Liberty...the new WTC and now new icons grow that will make their own history...in time. Whatever other places may copy or exceed is only fluff...only New York is New York...Can you start to imagine each human life that has a story that is New York ? Tell me one, maybe two people who are known or live a life that the international community know like New York ?I live happily in my Melbourne for all it is but in the whole wide world one city is the ultimate City...New York now...and New York always... ( Hope that is not too much ? ) PS...I am lucky enough to have traversed the planet and although I haven't been everywhere...with real life and seeing and reading and using imagination...New York still comes up on top !
