Yes, I'm glad that 432 Park Avenue is a fair distance from 1WTC so its similar roof height doesn't take away from the majesty of 1WTC.

Not really, 1WTC is much more massive. Obviously more massive in its size and more massive in its height as well, since 432 Park Ave is only (very slightly) higher than 1WTC in terms of roof height, but count in the communication rings which virtually are part of the roof and 1WTC surpasses 432 Park Ave in its height too.

Considering the size of the other planned 57th street supertalls, 1WTC might not remain the highest building in NYC in the next few years, but it will remain as the most massive building for sure.

When will be able to freely walk around the memorial pools? Also when will the 9/11 museum be open? I will be back in New York in May 2014 for the first time in 2 1/2 years so looking forward to seeing all the work done.

Hi everyone, sorry that I have not posted in a while, but its great to be back. I was wondering in a year from now how would Tower 1 look like, meaning would it be complete by then ?

Pretty much the same since it's nearly finished, on the outside at least. And yes, it is scheduled to open next year.

1 WTC will always be the tallest in New York in terms of spire height, however not roof height, which I believe counts more. You are correct about it always being the most massive

If by freely you mean without all the gates...by the end of next year. Although some more is coming down around 1WTC during the summer I read on here I believe. The museum should be open by May or June so hopefully when your there it is! And if it's your first time there since like 2011 be prepared to see A LOT of progress

The memorial pools are already opened, but the museum will open in spring 2014.

Can't wait to go to NYC in 2015! Don't know what month it will be, but I'd like to go when most of the site is complete. I'll be sure to take pics even though that's far down the road lol

I was in a cab this AM from the Hudson Yards Area ( around 38th and 10th) and you can see 1 WTC and it is HUGE!!! I was surprised how huge and how close it looked from there. Very impressed.

The office and residential towers that will rise in the Hudson yards will have a spectacular views of 1 WTC.
