The lights close at 11:59? I always thought they closed at 12. And about your last sentence, tell that to the constant beeping at night (in Brooklyn!)

The BOA, 4 Times Square and 1 WTC spires go off at 11:59, along with 7 WTC roof lights, Goldman Sachs and 4 WTC strip lights. The ESB turns off at about 2:00

It's white. They'll only light it in different colors for special occasions.

I KNEW it! Especially because I still see the Empire State Building's lights at midnight.

And the spire lights of One WTC looks purple to me, too! But sometimes it's lit up in different colors. I don't think it's ALWAYS white.

I understand that, but from my vantage point it looks purplish, not pure white. I know in the pics taken right next to the building looking up at the spire, it looks blindingly white. But from further away it looks like a light purple.

It's just the hue they programmed it to be. I personally like a warm white similar to how the ESB's white lights look.

The resolution is absolutely breathtaking. As an artist who draws mainly cityscapes and architectural elements, this is like a holy grail for me. I've been drawing city scapes, especially New York, since I was 5 years old, about the time I fell in mad love with the twins.

A drawing of the twins, one of many, that I drew when I was 7 years old (1998)

How could you miss something that hasn't even been built yet?

What a disappointing building, if it was bigger and a shape like one of the twin towers it would be okay but this... Very unfortunate.. Overall the whole new trade center project is ugly, and in my opinion nothing compared to the twin towers.

"As a visitor staying in New York for the past few weeks one thing has become very clear to me," Banksy wrote in the op-ed. "You've got to do something about the new World Trade Center. That building is a disaster. Well no, disasters are interesting. One World Trade centre [sic] is a non-event. It's vanilla. It looks like something they would build in Canada."
