No, the 101st floor slab is not fully extended to the perimeter on some areas.

When are the mechanical floors going to get their LEDs? As far as I am concerned, the building's not done until it looks done at night.

Nice find VG. I really like this one, it will look even better in a couple of years when 56 Leonard, 30 park place and 3WTC join the skyline along with all the various developments along the high line

The way sunlight gleams off the facade makes 1 WTC easily identifiable when its far away on the horizon. That's a unique quality of it compared to the Twins; it's tougher to spot due to the reflective glass but once you see it you'll know.

I'm glad to be able to say that I've seen both of them in their full glory, with my own eyes. I actually prefer 3 WFC over 1 Canada Square but this is probably based on the colour scheme and the overall environment of the building. Pelli certainly knows his craft. He actually submitted one of his designs in a contest for the Vienna International Center (the United Nations are its anchor-tenant) back in the 1969. It was quite popular but didn't make the cut in the end. If it did, I'd be able to catch a glimpse of a Pelli-building whenever I look out of my kitchen window.

80 south street will be very prominent from B. Bridge Park. Nice shot, it almost looks like a painting.

Look at the white edges on top compared to the yellow ones on the bottom.

And how do you tell if the dismantling of the external elevator has begun again? It doesn't really look out of the ordinary. I'm just curious.

Well, they've moved the car back up to the top. That's what happened last time.

Plus they removed the gating/safety netting for the floors all the way down to out of earthcam's view so that is a very good sign.

Compare these two pictures:
