Nice picture to see the shape of the tower itself.

The shape of the tower is really over looked and unique.

The tapering sides of the tower is suppose to look like the Washington monument, while the other sides look exactly like the twins.

I appreciate and share the emotional attachment to the twin towers. But when people start calling them "amazing beautiful" I do wonder about their architectural taste.

Well... It depends, the reason people love the twin towers is because of their simplicity and the fact that there were two of them, and for a lot of people the more recognizable box shapes of the twin towers were a little bit more pleasing and easier on the eyes than say a building that kinda shifts everywhere you move. 1 WTC is indeed a lovely building and its really cool but is the simplicity, the exposed steel and aluminum that gave it more dense look, and the cool history suck as the guy who walked the tight rope on them that made twin towers big time icons and people calling them beautiful.

Yes, oh so shockingly many people did like their architecture. Would a 'maximalist' understand?

Manhattan looked better with the twin towers but this is only my opinion. Architectonically the twin towers weren't perfect but they looked good as a complex

If you would like to discuss the Twin Towers, there is a thread for it. This thread is about One World Trade Center, so please keep all chat related to that.

Man damn talking about 1 WTC post more pics and give us about more updates of it, there is no need for us to just talk about the spire or the base or anything on the building because it's almost complete those ships have sailed (i hope) all we need is pics on the glass being filled, the base being completely cladded, interior updates, and notifications of the observation deck but other than everything that needed to be said has been said far as everyones opinion of it now we are just waiting for this big puzzle to be put together.

With all that said my point is there is no need to get feisty over other little ALMOST off topic things that are discussed.
