Maybe the lighting has been disconnected during construction and will be turned back on when its finished? or maybe they are doing the stupid thing they do here in Australia and turn them off to "Save Energy" when they could just install a dedicated solar system to power them.

No, Five Star Electronics is currently tweaking the lighting, which explains why it's been off. Expect both the MPE vent floors and roof mechanical floors to be lit within a month.

Really? Now that I'm hearing that I think that's surprisingly fast. How ironic that is, considering we've had to wait so long since the exterior was basically completed.

Looks like some work being done on the Verizon (aka Barclay Vesey) Building.

I'm a bit scared to ask, but what the heck is a bear night?

Does this building still make that eerie sound? when the wind blows strong, or is it gone already?

Storm shots are the most beautiful shots that exist. Nothing beats dark storm clouds and lightning in beauty. There is something quite mystical in these shots. It's hard to formulate it in words how special and breathtaking storm shots are. It's as if two detached worlds would join in one entity, waging a stalled fight over the city. Thanks folks for posting

I dropped by NYC last week to check this building out again, thinking perhaps I judged it too harshly, but honestly, the proportions just don't look right. Even though the exterior is essentially "completed", the feels awkward and unfinished, imo. The center's cladding looks good, but it doesn't fit well with the base, and, if possible, the antennae seemed even worse in person. So, overall, maybe not an awful development, but it feels like a massive sigh of compromise.

It's nice to see the lower floors lit up with "real" office lighting. Looks like Conde is busy fitting out their space.

Also they've been boxing in the columns which makes them more visible through the glass, even in the daytime. I'll wait until they've gotten higher up before I decide if I like how it looks.

It will end up looking like 7 WTC's columns, which I like.

im just afraid that under certain lighting it will ruin the "featureless mirror" effect.
