Should be all finished by late November and open to the general public by May 2015 when the Observation deck is finished.

I've been watching WTC1 construction from very begining, and i am so happy now when it's finished. It's one remarkable tower.

glassy facade angles perform spectacular light show when the sun set down i love such contemporary modernism

wtc 1 is just tall enough and elegant enough to excelently fearture the classic skyline of NYC

if we put a too tall or naughty design there it would badly hurt the classic elegance which make NYC like no other skyscrapercity in the world

Those pictures looking down Vesey Street make me miss the platform thing the former trade center had. With the stairs and escalators going up to the plaza level on Vesey, and the platform that used to be over Vesey, connecting the Plaza inbetween building 6 and 5 with building number 7.

OT: Does anyone know if pieces of Alexander Calderīs WTC sculpture were found?

Does anyone know what the orange netting on the top floor of the mechanical vents are for?
Maybe prepping to install some final equipment up there?

The tower looked absolutely filthy yesterday. I really wish they'd give it a good cleaning now rather than wait till it's 100% finished.

In keeping with the decades-old tradition of depicting the NY skyline (especially the Twin Towers) on box vans and service vehicles, it's always nice to see One World Trade (and in this case, 4 as well) make an appearance.

Sorry if maybe I'm off-topic, it's just a curiosity, are provided smoking areas for employees in the offices? Or are they forced to exit the building to smoke a cigarette? Thanks.

Well I'm not Sure how it works in New York but normally if there are smoking restrictions it means that you have to go outside, usually in a designated smoking area away from a main entrance, that's how it works here in the UK anyway
