Now all they need to do is have this thing turned on a little longer in the night...Turning it off at 12am is rather ridiculous since all other lit up spires, like the ones in Midtown, stay on for much longer.

Looking at that shop of the Burj suddenly makes me think of how cool that would be to have a supertall standing at that very location

Yeah or one of these : MFG Cranes
I work with this mini cranes every day on construction sites - I took part to the construction of a skyscraper in Toronto last year. Even I am always impressed to see these powerful machines in such small spaces!

Late reply but okay

Cool that you work on skyscrapers. You should totally make pics.

I won't consider it compete until they get rid of that egregious construction lighting. Until then the tower and a major part of the Lower Manhattan skyline will still feel incomplete at night.

In construction logistics, this tower is complete. Even the east office B2 lobby and Observatory lobby is complete.

Let's mark the end of an era by finally changing the title to 'Com'!

I actually kinda like it. It looks kinda out of scale, but nowhere near as much as I thought it would.

And this wasn't the first 1WTC thread that existed on SSC. There were a few 1WTC threads before this one if I remember correctly

I know that tenants have moved in, but structurally this building is not complete. Unless the new definition of "complete" means "missing massive sections of glass".

I don't want to get technical, but that is part of the physical building. Seeing as this is not a construction logistics forum, building is not complete.

That said, I'm kinda done with it on a personal level.

Less complete buildings have been labeled complete.
