Im starting to think that's a rumor started by someone at this site. I think an article quoted Durst claiming that the spire lighting would 'play off' the times square ones. That doesn't necessarily mean it would be the same. It should be interpreted as being similar.

Opening day for the public! The lines went all the around the north and south sides of the base.

Have fun, for those going.

more blue spire - it would be better if they got rid of those f*cking construction lights... seriously that lighting has been plaguing the night time skyline for too long. Even if they're waiting to accommodate future tenants, they could at least install the lighting, right?

Awesome. It's been a long time coming. I hope to be there later this year.

That's what I'm afraid of. Anyone here been through yet? How long was the wait?

I don't think it's 'First come, first served', because they were yelling out times that each individual had on their ticket.

I'll assume you get there 10-15 minutes before your time is called.

I really enjoyed my visit yesterday as part of the "open house".

The lines went smoothly and I never felt crowded, except in that theater just after you get off the elevator...

There was an open house - a first come first served opportunity. I think we reserved the tickets about a month ago...

Nice to see the observation area as real pictures instead of renderings.

Also noticed the amount of dead/ill trees around? Some say chloride is the cause, but around 1WTC also...

On Thursday, I noticed some very ill trees on the north side of the north pool... I began to wonder if it isn't a problem with the "ecosystem" supporting that part of the park?
