TiL test tonight. They really should get rid of that construction lighting, already. The tower has been open for almost a year. Why does 1 WTC have to be lit up so egregiously at night? It makes the city's icon look incomplete. They could at least affix some ghost lighting. Even 4 WTC turns off most of its lights, but 1 WTC is so bright its reflection makes it seem like 4 WTC is also lit with them.

I am very much looking forward to the construction lighting being removed, It'l look so much better at night when the building fills up.

another time I wish I had my camera with me, but the i phone 5 will have to do. It was 6:30 am (9.3.15) and the moon was aligned just right with 1WTC at this time.

What's interesting to me is the contrast with the building in the foreground (112 Chambers, which is condemned with expired work permits from a few years ago pasted in the window behind a cage door), specifically the one with the fire escape. On the top floor, where you see two red squares, is where Yoko Ono had an art "gallery"(?) from Dec 1960 to June 1961...

Nice pics! I love it when they light the spire in different colors. I hope this year they will light it red white and blue to honor the victims of 9/11.
