I just saw in a few other threads, that the antenna got another part covered in white. So, when did that happen?

Couple of days ago. Unfortunately the whole spire won't be covered, just only 3-4 sections of it.

Cool, 3-4 sections! I think this will look fantastic. Any information about when they will add the "cladding" of the remaining 1-2 sections in question. Do we know which sections exactly? Oh I would love to see some close ups of the spire right now.

Looks like they have one more section left to cover.

Ugghhh! You can still see all the emptiness inside with the sun

Not very charming or warming. Such a cold place.

reminds me of this photo from when the twins were under construction. They were empty for a while too.

I love the "shine through" picture of 1WTC. It instantly reminded me of the picture baronson posted.

The thing is, I like it when the sun shines through like this, but on the other hand at night it doesn't look that great with the construction lights on. So let's hope they get the last 30% leased very soon.

I also like the first photo very much. The spire looks great in it. The transmission cladding is really boosting the presence of the spire. Hopefully the next section will be clad very soon.

Do we know how long it took to fully lease the original towers?

A few days ago, the leasing information on the official site was "only 30% available". I checked again on sunday and it says now "75% leased" or something like that. Go 1WTC, Go!

They are working on the east entrance door, seems like they are going to finish it, although it will take some more time until they can remove the temporary loading dock..

What do you mean with a while? Just a year or 10 years?

Exactly! Difference is that One WTC has been completed 4 years earlier,
while it was already known it was going to be built in freaking 2005 when the design
was first revealed. Meanwhile the Twin Towers were completed within 2 years
and this photo is taken somewhere in 1971, since the South Tower was
completed on July 19, 1971 and you can still see one crane standing on the roof
of the building.

So in the end your argument, using the photo as an illustration is like comparing apples and oranges.
Although in the end I do have to admit that it was not until the 90's the Twin Towers were entirely occupied.
Though at a much quicker and more effective rate than the entire project currently.
