I can still see the beam om the lorry at 9.55, maybe this explains why there's such a slow process. (and i believe the tower will shoot up when all the basement en ground floors are finished, I believe that's where the complexity is.)

I was expecting to see the placement of the column in HD, but instead the cam switched to transportation hub mode...

Why is it so complicated to keep a camera pointed in the same direction? Day after day I like to check in to see the progress of 1WTC. Some days I see the same image because it is not updating, and today I see the hole where towers 2 and 3 may be built eventually. It doesn't seem like rocket science, or maybe it is?

I always see a recent picture, never had problems with updating! But unfortunately the earthcam is pointing at the 2WTC pit at the moment.

Joe Woolhead is Silverstein Properties's official photographer for the World Trade Center site. As such, he has full access to everywhere in Ground Zero.

I can't believe this building is taking so long to build. You can leave this forum for six months and when you come back... it looks exactly the same as last time.

The Earthcam is on good position again - and we can see a new jumbo column on its place!

That corner should go up very fast! BUT it looks like the west side needs huge amounts of concrete before the creeper crane platform can be set up.

There are dates, but we're talking about the PA here so I'd take anything they say with a grain of salt. The official(unofficial) completion date is 4Q 2013. But the PA has said that could go into 2014.

The tower is going up, one column at a time. That's all we can ask for.

I don't think a lot of people complaining about progress fully grasp the complex nature of this project. The sublevels, the subway, foundations for multiple supertall structures, sensitivity of traffic in the financial center & lower Manhattan, etc, etc all working in harmony. The sublevels & foundations of this incredible complex is a massive project unto itself. This is NEW YORK CITY. They'll get it done, don't worry.

Well said.
When we finally start seeing it rise, it will be worth the wait anyways.
