The earthcam is working fine now, two jumbo columns at the northeast corner are already in place and connected to the core.

Edit: More floorplates on the southeast corner are being laid. I did not expect that to happen anytime soon...

There's some circular thing on the south side of the memorial, is that another planter?

No, I believe that is for 9/11 commemoration tomorrow. They tied down big red at Freedom too, I don't think they will be working tomorrow.

I doubt, that we will see that columns this year, but watching this tower rise in 2010 will be amazing.

Depends if there is another crane coming to raise steel on the other side of the tower, or will they move the one they have now? Either way, the base is equally as large as the underground structure is, so I suspect it’s going to take some time to finish.

I bet you're right. At least on the east side of the tower. But I think they would need to add more steel on top of the south core to be able to anchor them to a floor.

Slowly but surely.

No, they aren't. The winds are pretty high and the weather is horrendous.

Great rendition Onn.
I'm guessing that from the lack of diagonals on the bottom level, that the relative shortness and immense thickness of those lower columns means there's no concievable way they'll ever fail, so they don't need to worry about redistributing the load.

in this picture you can see the progress between 9-9 and 10-09 this is one day and you can see clear that a lot can be done in one day. Keep up this pace NY.

That is exactly the reason, why I doubt that to happen before 2010. There is only 3 and a half months left this year, dont forget that!

You marked the yellow area in the first photo; in the sacond the yellow parts are in front of WTC1, outside of the u/c building... what is the difference?
That "area" its the north core, right?
