If you live in NYC and complain about light pollution, you're in the wrong damn city.

Why will it take all the way to 2013 to get this building done?

Shouldn't it be ready by late 2010?

In Dubai they finish 100story skyscrapers within a year...whats the delay here?

Why don't you read not all the thread, but at least the last pages?
It's a question that has been asked at least 3 times a week

Let's see here. Building a supetall office building in one of the densest business districts in the world, over active subway tracks and the grave of 2000 people, vs. building some needle out in the desert? Think about this from an engineering standpoint. Take a look at the earthcam and compare this construction site to the ones in dubai.

Those items, are visible in the previous photos here?

Here is a picture of one of the tower sections :

In this picture the jib butt (bottom section) is visible attached to the top of the boom (circled in red). Another section of the jib is lying on the ground behind the boom (circled in green). You can also see the black tower sections, just to the right of the red circle.

The HD cam, atop the Millennium Hilton.
http://www.national911memorial.org/s...Visit_EarthCam

Another good cam (when its up), its located in the World Financial Center. I think 2WFC, specifically.
http://rebuildgroundzero.org/webcam/...am/rgz_000.jpg

In an apartment building across the street from the SW corner of the WTC plot.

A lower quality cam, probably in Millenium Hilton as well.

Thanks for the links.

Slowly and progressively this complex is going, but its making progression, which is good, better than it being stalled.

Good thing when 1WTC is completed, it will gain tallest building status in the US, since the Chicago Spire is on Hold.

It should look pretty good when completed with 7WTC and the new Goldman Sachs Headquarters next to the WFC,

Any new rendering by anychance?
